Born in Trinidad and raised in Queens, New York, DJ Sarah Selfish has always had music in her bones and nightlife in her blood. As a child, she spent weekends running through one of Queens’ most iconic nightclubs—owned by close family friends. While most seven-year-olds were in bed, she was crate-digging with DJs, watching the crowd from behind the booth, and absorbing the way music could shift a room. Back then, you could do things like that—and she did.
Music was never just a hobby—it was her environment. Surrounded by DJs and producers, Sarah’s sound was forged from island basslines, New York hustle, and an instinct for reading the energy of any space.
The name Sarah Selfish started as a creative alias, born from her early days curating mixes that were personal, fearless, and genre-bending. Over time, it stuck—not just as a name, but as a philosophy: play what you love, and the crowd will follow.
Now based in Charlotte, North Carolina, DJ Sarah Selfish brings her genre-blending, high-energy sets to events across the U.S. and internationally. Her music is bold and soul-driven—designed to move her first, and the crowd second.
